Women & Technology Event Coming to Computer History Museum
One of the local attractions we encourage the guests here at the Camino Inn and Suites to visit is the Computer History Museum, right here in Mountain View. The important Women and Technology Conference coming to the museum should not be missed if you are visiting the Inn in February. If you will not be here in time for the conference, put the museum on your list of things to do while you are here.
An upcoming event at the Computer History Museum is the Women 2.0: PITCH Conference. “Women & Technology: Success In The Fastest Emerging Markets.” The conference will be held on February 14 and will feature a high level panel of speakers covering the future of women in technology. The conference is expected to be attended by entrepreneurs, investors, engineers and designers. This conference is unique in its approach to the discussion of the roles and potential careers of women across all facets of current and emerging technology businesses. The annual competition for start-up technology companies will be before the conference, so arrive early and give yourself a chance to see what will be the next hot tech ideas.

The Computer History Museum can also be visited for a casual stroll through the history of computing. The museum holds the world’s largest collection of historic computer and computer-related exhibits. You can see some of the earliest computer devices through the most modern and future computer ideas. Visitor hours at the museum are 10:00 AM through 5:00 PM, Wednesday through Saturday. Docent-led tours are also available. Current exhibits at the museum include “A History of Computer Chess” and “Revolution: The First 2000 Years of Computing”.
