If you plan on visiting Pacific Beach, you’re in for a treat. Garnett Avenue is home of one of the bigger nightlife scenes in San Diego, with dozens of eateries, bars, clubs, coffee houses and clothing stores all located in one central area. Be sure to also check out the Crystal Pier and boardwalk, along with the beautiful beaches and hotels.
If you make your way to La Jolla, you’re in for some eye-popping scenery. Boasting California’s most majestic and beautiful coastline, along with some of the best weather on the planet, La Jolla offers visitors a wide selection of classy hotels, five-star dining, shopping, events and must-see attractions. Be sure to explore the different caves and museums, or if you want to relax, play on some of the top golf courses in the world.
When visiting Solana Beach, you’re in for an adventure. Filled with cliffs overlooking the oceans and private secluded beaches, this is one spot not to miss. Some of the places to visit while in town include Seaside and Fletcher Cove, two great areas for surfing. You also may want to check out Tide Beach, which has a great patch of extended reef that allows for tide pooling. While you’re in Encinitas, you should definitely take some time to visit the historic downtown before making your way to the beaches. This great laid back town offers excellent pathways along Coast Highway 101 for walking, biking and sightseeing that you won’t want to miss while still offering a vibrant nightlife.
Finally, when stopping in Del Mar, you’ll first want to visit its world-famous horse racing track before making your way to the three stunning white sand beaches. Be sure to also visit the River Mouth where the San Diego River meets with the sea.
